StoryTime in the Garden, April 2018 - Lakes Regional Park, Fort Myers, FL StoryTime in the Garden, April 18th 2018

StoryTime in the Children’s Garden at Lakes Park is rapidly becoming the worst-kept secret in Lee County!

One morning each month, families come to the garden for stories, activities, and crafts under the generous shade of big old trees. Sometimes we jump like a frog, or roar like a “crocagator”. Sometimes we chase butterflies and look for caterpillars. Sometimes we make a picture showing what we learned from the story teller. All times, we have fun!

April’s story was The CrocaGator by Kenny Rager.  The author is currently working on future “CrocaGator” tales for a series that will help children understand and cope with today’s complex family issues.  StoryTime in the Garden is currently geared toward pre-schoolers and the adults they are raising. The next StoryTime is Wednesday May 16th at 10:00 AM in the Children’s Garden.

We are currently reviewing to see if we have enough StoryTime volunteers for the summer. If not, we will resume in the Fall when the Farmer’s Market re-opens. We always welcome registered Lee County volunteers to help out!

If you have a large group coming, please contact us ahead of time so we’ll have enough supplies – CLICK TO EMAIL US at INFO@LAKESPARK.org

More smiling faces and fabulous artistic works by the StoryTime kids – enjoy!
