Scenes from the Brick by Brick Picnic – March 18th, 2018
The Lakes Park Enrichment Foundation once again presented its spring fundraiser, the Brick by Brick Picnic, in the Children’s Garden on March 18th.
Family fun, auctions, prizes, face-painting, bounce house, and entertainment by Bear Hill Bluegrass were all on the agenda. Food and beverages were provided by Denny’s and Suncoast Beverage. Our face painter was Sandy Bates, and the Zaniacs from Happy Dolphin Press were in attendance, too. Wheel Fun provided a bounce house for the little ones to enjoy, and a gift card for the raffle. The Train Museum provided train tickets for the raffle. Special thanks to the Lee County Visitor & Convention Bureau for their support in soliciting auction items from numerous businesses, with VERY special thanks for parking the Shell Love Bug in the Children’s Garden for the afternoon! It was a lovely day and we had a lovely time.
Many thanks go to the providers of our raffle and auction items, including Boston Red Sox, the Minnesota Twins, Pure Florida, Kelly Greens Golf and Tennis, PJ Boox, Happy Dolphin Press, Tropic Star Adventures, Frank Moore Photography, Marriott, Hampton Inn, Everglades Day Safari, Edison Ford Winter Estates, Lee County Parks & Recreation, Holiday Inn Airport, Butterfly Estates, Wicked Dolphin, and Shell Point Golf.
Engraved brick sales are ongoing. The proceeds will help to support additional phases of the Children’s Garden and other Foundation projects that enhance and beautify the park. Need a gift? Buy a brick! CLICK for details on how to purchase.
