LPEF’s own Sue Moore honored by local media

Long-time Lee County volunteer Sue Moore has served on the Board of the Lakes Park Enrichment Foundation for years. Now she has been honored by local media on the occasion of her 80th birthday.

Earlier this month, Sue was featured in an article in SWFL Parent & Child Magazine. (click to read).  Not to be outdone, NBC-2 aired a video feature about Sue just a few nights ago (click to view).  There will also be a feature in Grandeur Magazine (link not yet available).

Sue is the visionary behind the Lakes Park Children’s Garden, and an inspiration to the Foundation. Her 80th birthday party will be held at the park on March 30th at 1:00 PM, featuring tours of the Botanic Gardens. In lieu of gifts, Sue asks for donations to the Foundation.

You can help support Sue’s vision for the future of the Children’s Garden –

here are some of the ways:

  • DONATE through the PayPal Giving Fund – no fees! (click for more information)

  • PAVE THE PARK – buy a brick!  (click to find FAQ, engraving forms, and payment options)

  • BUY AT OUR PLANT SALE – Wednesday March 27th, 9:00 AM to Noon in the Botanic Garden – free gardening advice! click for Facebook event

  • ATTEND “AN EVENING IN ITALY” – click to buy tickets to our spring gala for a romantic evening filled with Italian food and music

  • SPONSOR “AN EVENING IN ITALY” – click to see available sponsorship options

  • VOLUNTEER – help tend the gardens, read to children in the greenhouse or at StoryTime, drive the EZ Rider, built a Scarecrow, serve on a committee, join the Board of Directors – there are probably a dozen ways you can volunteer to help the Foundation achieve it’s mission of enhancing the beauty and experience of Lakes Park.
