REMEMBERING MARSHALL
A Foundation patron emailed us with the story of why she donated an engraved brick for our Children’s Garden. She gave us permission to share.
“My Aunt and Uncle relocated to FL a couple years ago from CT. Lakes Park is one of their favorite places, as I’m sure it reminds them of their little boy, Marshall, who passed away just before the age of 4. That was 20 years ago, and we still think of Marshall often, especially when visiting places like Lakes Park. The brick I purchased is in memory of Marshall. I know he will already be in the Children’s Garden once it’s complete… but now others will know he is there, too… Thank you SO much for securing such a wonderful, peaceful place for children and families to enjoy their time together. We hope to visit again sometime next year.” – Sincerely, Gloria
We are touched and honored that Gloria shared her story with us, and we’re sure that Marshall will have lots of company in that garden.
